Threading an old JCPenny sewing device requires several steps. These are the steps:
Step 1
Locate the thread guide first, then move the handwheel. The take-up lever should appear at the top as you turn the handwheel.
Step 2
Place your spool on the left-hand side of the spool pin.
Step 3
Take the thread end you just took and pass it through the machine’s thread guide. The thread should be brought to the thread guide at the machine’s front left.
Step 4
Pull the thread towards the tension dial. You should be able to pull the thread under the dial through the wire spring on the left-hand side. You will now need to take the thread past the thread guide and thread it through the lever.
